Stonnington’s much-loved Christmas Concerts series are back and will be much bigger and brighter than ever. An incredible line-up of Australian stars will be taking to the stage to kick off the festive season. And you can tell the kiddies that Santa is coming to Stonnington.

The City of Stonnington Mayor, Cr Steve Stefanopoulos said “This year we secured some of the biggest names in Australian musical theatre to celebrate the start of the festive season”.

 

The stars you can expect at the FREE Christmas Concerts:

 

Family Christmas at Central Park

Sunday 9 December – Starts at 6:30pm

This event will be hosted by the enchanting musical theatre sensation Lucy Durack (Wicked, Legally Blonde). The Christmas joy will continue with incredible performances by Emily Williams (Australian Idol), Bobby Fox (Jersey Boys, Riverdance, Mamma Mia) and Euan Doidge (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Kinky Boots). The concert will conclude with the Christmas display.

Carols at Como Park

Sunday 16 December –7:30pm – 9:30pm

305-325 Williams Road, South Yarra

 

This is one of the largest free Christmas concerts in Victoria. You’ll be delighted by the host – Shane Jacobson, one of Australia’s most popular actors, presenters and all-round funnymen. The star-studded line-up features Casey Donovan (Australian Idol, I’m a Celebrity), an unmissable performance by Genevieve Kingsford (The Light of Piazza, Brigadoon), Blake Appelqvist (Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Kinky Boots) and Josh Piterman (The Ten Tenors, West Side Story, Cats). A spectacular fireworks display will end the concert with a bang!

All performances are supported by the Stonnington Brass Band and South of the River choir. Plus, you can support the charitable work of Kids Under Cover by purchasing programs, candles and Santa hats.
