The City of Stonnington Mayor, Cr Steve Stefanopoulos said “I’m delighted to invite residents and visitors to experience our wonderful Central Park in a new light. Over four nights, we will transform the dark of winter into a wonderland of light and play."

The larger than life installations you can look forward to:

Laser Garden Roam freely through an immersive installation of thousands of rotating green laser beams. The rays catch the air in clouds of dense fog and with a lick of wind, the garden changes in shape and size. Presented by award winning Mandylights.

Revive the Reef SIT2 invites you to think about our environment and in particular, The Great Barrier Reef. Step into a magical underwater landscape and work with friends and strangers to unwind the pressures threatening the Reef. Transform a bleached white Reef into a kaleidoscope of colour and real Reef sounds.

Neon Glow and Neon Night Garden Carla O’Brien returns to bring oversized multi- coloured neon GLOW letters, and the Neon Night Garden. Plus there’ll be neon delights to take pics with of things you’d find in your garden, like a tree, kite and a fun flamingo.

“It’s amazing to see how fascinated people are by neon art. Maybe because neon is traditionally used for signage, it’s not something we’re used to touching. I make art for people to interact with – that’s what brings it to life. To me, my pieces only become real art once people get involved with them,” says Carla.

Between the Trees Part interactive tree-installation, part collaborative musical instrument, creating a magical world of plants, humans, music and light. Inspired by the connectivity of mycelium, “the internet of the forest.” You can play the installation by interacting with suspended, miniature ecospheres, creating original compositions together in real time. This playful installation is created by Melinda Hetzel & Co.

Anthropic Augmentation A roaming projection performance that explores an imagined future memoir of the Yarra River/ Birrarung. Creative director, Caroline Packham invites you to participate by sending a letter or poem to the future humanised Yarra.

Caroline says this piece "is very celebratory in telling the story of this imagined future where the river has human rights, is thriving and healthy and is our friend."
